Confirmation for changes

Make write actions wait for an explicit yes.

For anything that creates or changes something — a booking, a cancellation, an order — turn on "Ask the visitor to confirm first." The chatbot will describe exactly what it's about to do and wait for the visitor to agree before running it.

When to use it

  • Bookings and cancellations
  • Placing or modifying orders
  • Updating contact or account details
  • Anything irreversible or chargeable

How it works

When confirmation is required, the action isn't executed on the first attempt. The chatbot summarizes the action, asks the visitor to confirm, and only runs it once they explicitly say yes.

Combine confirmation with identity verification for high-stakes actions: the visitor is both proven to be who they say and agrees before anything changes.
